A LINk is an independent,
voluntary organisation, made up of individuals, community groups and organisations, who work together to make local health and social care services better.
Their job is to find out what people like and don’t like about their local services.
The LINk works with people who plan and run services to help
make them better. This may involve talking directly to them about a service that is
not offered, or suggesting ways to make existing services better.

| |
| What will Gloucestershire LINk do? |
Ask local people what they think of
their health and social care services and give them a chance to suggest ideas that may help to make them better.
Ask health and social care managers for information about services and get actions within a set time.
| |

Visit services and look at how
they
work to make sure they
are working well.
| |
Have a say when new
services are planned, look into specific issues of concern
and make suggestions to the
people who plan, provide and run the services.

| Who Can Join? |
| |
Anyone can join, because
the
Gloucestershire LINk
values
everyone’s views.
Why should I join?
You can have a say and influence those
who make decisions about new or
existing health and social
care services. The LINk gives communities a stronger
voice. And you can help show what
isn’t working well and make sure issues and ideas are listened to.
| |
What can I do?
You can take a few minutes to answer a
survey. You can come to a meeting to discuss an
issue that interests you.
Or you can join a working group to
investigate a particular issue.
